Checkbox to limit unit availabilities

Post by Castleking »

My sons and I play random games with each other frequently and wish there was a way to limit the units that could be produced in each game, maybe by a checklist at the setup of the game.

Yes, I think so like

Allowed:
__ Swordman
X Archer
__ Pikeman
X Longbowman
X Spartan Hoplite
X Warship
X Worker
__ Healer...
Thanks!

This idea is great, it can force others to use the less popular units in the game. :)

However, I think the games with these limits should be locked for the players that do not have at least one of the units unlocked.

Forbid Specific Units

Post by samuelch »

A random game setting to forbid specific unit types. So we can have interesting scenarios in random game.
Example: 4 AIs (only allowed to trains Celtic Swordsman). Human player at the center of the map (only allowed to trains Roman Legionare, Centurion, Saggitarus, workers, auxilliary, and siege weapons)

So basically the same thing as national units divided into races?

They might work after there are enough national units added. They could divided by Flag like in AoWw.

No. In the game setup there will be option to allow what units produceable in game. You can enable and disable each units. Some examples (samurai, leggionare, and mammeluke only game), (swordsman, pikeman, samurai only game), (siege weapons, builders only game).
