Re: Sacred Tracker
What image dimensions are used for the art work?
I'm going to give it a try...
But, I'm not a developer or a artist, so please be generous in examination

No worries.
The image dimensions are 32x32 for normal size, and 32x64 for a taller image.

Re: Sacred Tracker
Worked all night on these...
I know that they may seem primitive, but I hope that you like them anyway.
Creating these images were harder than than I thought, enjoy!
And tell me what you think.

Re: Sacred Tracker
Did a bit of work. I daresay that this is my best work of art!
Added a bit of shading...
Took a bit off of the hauberk... Can't take too much, else it would no longer be a hauberk.
Try these... I hope you like them.

Re: Sacred Tracker
Another reason for a hauberk...
It protects the wearer from the weather!
Be it cold, hot or swamp like... The hauberk ( ie: modern day trench coat ) is an excellent tool to avoid exposure, which can lead to death.

Re: Sacred Tracker
I will also see about units to be produced from the church, they will be from the same subrace of humans that the Sacred Tracker comes from... But it will take time.
Ideas:
High Man Swordstaffman: good vs Dragons, Cavalry and Monsters (ie: trolls and giants) armored, weak vs AOE spells (tend to travel in tight formations)
High Man Fire Crossbowman: high damage, high pierce armor, fire arrows, armored
Let me know b4 I begin work.
Reason... It will balance the unit production at the church, and it will create more effective units for the humans, also, it will be more fulfilling for my campaign.
First thing's first... Need approval of these ideas first.
I believe that this will make the game better.

How does this actually combat the undead though lol?
I think this would be most useful against other humans mostly.

Re: Sacred Tracker
As stated in previous posts...
He hunts Undead with a Crossbow for ranged combat vs powerful Undead.
Crossbows where the most feared weapon until the invention of gunpowder.
When it comes to melee, he goes blade to blade with his silver sword.
In mythology, such individuals would have more to work with than just a sword and a crossbow.
The Sacred Tracker heals himself as a priest would, they also have a better attack when hunting in groups (up to +4).
Silvered Weapons equipped by the Sacred Tracker also burn undead.

Re: Sacred Tracker
Inquisitors are specialized against mages. Sacred Trackers are designed to help Inquisitors against their enemies. However, they are specialized against the undead. But that doesn't make him entirely ineffective against other units. Being that he is highly trained, he is a formidable unit to field during any circumstance.
Look at the previous posts on the first page to see the importance of the Sacred Tracker. It will explain everything.
If it pleases you. I have edited the stats to make the Sacred Tracker more playable.
Or... Better yet, tell me the reason as to why the Sacred Tracker displeases you. This will allow me to make the due changes to make him more amiable and play-worthy for the game.

Re: Sacred Tracker
In fact, if we look at "The grand scheme of things"...
Sacred Trackers and Inquisitors would work together.
Inquisitors would be tasked to destroy a certain Necromancer or Lich.
Sacred Trackers would use their prowess to keep the Inquisitor alive and up to full strength through minor healing, thus it gives the Inquisitor the ability to do his job almost unchallenged.
Not to mention that if you look at the stats... The Sacred Tracker has unparalleled skill versus the undead, this would make him a force to be reckoned with. Even if he stands alone, he can turn the tide against an overwhelming horde.
Inquisitors and Sacred Trackers would be like...
Peanut butter and jelly
Meat and potatoes
Ham and cheese
Even though they are different, they complement each other!
In all honesty... I would like to see both the Sacred Tracker and the Inquisitor implemented. Thus I Vote for the Inquisitor as 1st every time!

Re: Sacred Tracker
The thing is this:
Range is almost useless against undead unless it has a fire effect, in which case it is extremely effective. So his crossbow is useless against most undeads.
He has a melee attack, ok, but how does that make him anti undead? Usually you want to stay out of melee engagements with undead unless you want to become part of their army lol.

Re: Sacred Tracker
I posted that the Silvered Weapons have the burning effect earlier. Thus the Crossbow would be effective against the undead.
There are times when the most crafty Huntsman is unable to get away, thus that is what the Silvered Sword is for. He has two attacks per turn and his bonuses allow him to counter an oncoming horde of lesser undead (ie: zombies, skeletons and ghouls) when they attack him. As an elite unit should. Like how an Uruk Hai would counter and kill any cavalry unit!
Not only that, but he can HEAL, not like a troll shaman or a druid but it will give him enough staying power to vanquish an I'll prepared horde or to evade a well prepared and overwhelming force.

Used right... He will become a fearsome opponent.
Check the stats on the first page to see what he can do.

Re: Sacred Tracker
Edited.
Reduced Spell Resistance to 25% to allow bit of resistance due to skills.
Averaged out SR so it will be balanced.
Sorry about the confusion.
Thx for your help. Do let me know of anything else.

Re: Sacred Tracker
Salt and a special salve used for healing purposes.
The salt clots the blood while the Healing Salve works like hydrogen peroxide, cleaning the wound, preventing infection, and promoting healing.
Ok, ok... Healing Salve is essentially a healing mud.
Salve just sounds better

Worked on these 2 images all night. This should be an improvement, less black= more details noticed.
I hope the developer finds them adequate...

Re: Sacred Tracker
It is an improvement, but right now, it looks like a walking sheet of metal.
You need to work on making it appear 3D. You could try to make the crossbow at a different angle. Instead it is just pointing up. Look at the imperial crossbow as an example. You can even edit off of existing images to draw your unit.

Still trying to figure out how to change canvas without losing work.
