Is that a dragon?

Yes, it wouldn't have looked so packed if I had more space to work with.

I could try and move the head so that it crosses the wing a bit but last I did that it didn't look so good.

Say, @Alexander82, I was wondering what the limitations on the glades units were, because I was thinking of making some units with special weapons like a archer that shoots explosive arrows that slow enemies (volatile crystal tipped arrows), and another that uses specialized bolas that not only stop an enemy but does small amounts of damage for the duration of the effect.

Would these still be qualified for glades?

Higher technology is meant to go to rising sun elves.

About bolas I suggest not to expand them for now. Those were meant to stop early rushes, not for advanced games.

btw, instead of a dragon, why don't you try an hippogryph?

I did that with the archer, this one was supposed to be riding some sort of fairy Dragon.

May I ask you why you've chosen these colours? xD

I mean... even with your best efforts the image will still be unclear :-/

I'm kinda changing topics and all, but regarding the name.
How about the name reflects him being a dragon rider more? When I hear "honor guard" my mind jump to something like a shielder, and I see absolutely no connection with a dragon rider. I guess a "glade dragon rider" kinda lacks flavour... "Glade fragon guardian" maybe?

All glades have their names indicating that they defend something. Even though I don't like the honor guard name I think we are starting to finish the right adjectives, lol :D

I think we might use the term "keeper" for their leader.

For other units I'm thinking about bulwark and aegis.

I think that we might considering changing them a bit similarly to other wood elves (with mounting abilities) but this might be more difficult (and might require specific mounts for them)

I'll try brightening things up and adjusting the colours, I guess this colour scheme works if it's a stand alone unit.

Already better, but what about changing the fairy dragon color as well?

I'm open to suggestions, the colours I tried ended up being too bright or blended too well, maybe white or something.

My opinion you need 1) repaint the dragon horn. 2) Draw 2 hand that would hold the dragon by the neck. 3) Make protruding legs.

The horn needs to be repainted because from a distance it looks like a horseman's hand. An extra arm and legs will create the feeling that the rider is sitting on the dragon and not standing.

Your first try looked better actually, but you don't necessarily need the hand showing being that the reign's would be lower then on top of the head.

The wing's shading seems strange. I think you made it looks like glittery but it seems buggy XD

Also can you make the mounts alone?

Ok, which mounts do you want?

Tiger (should I make a new unit out of the double bladed elf on top? Same issue with the thunderbird rider.)
Thunderbird (might be preferable, considering base elves have an eagle, this is a advanced one.)
Unicorn
Fairy Dragon
Hippogriff (If this doesn't make it for elves, we could give it to the dwarves as their version of the griffin)

If I make a new unit out of the thunderbird rider then it would probably just be like a halberdier unit for elves. (Reason being is that I really like how that weapon of his turned out.)
