Ambush hole

Unit description: A small but quite deep dugged hole that can hide an infantry, unit inside via underground cover. Good for a quick escape from enemy sight or an ambusher post that can trigger a surprise attack when an enemy is on off guard.

Notice:
Kills the unit inside when the structure is destroyed. Probably because of suffocation. Cannot be burned.

Sounds cool, but nobody seems to notice. Sad really...
But I like the idea! Hiding units beforehand sounds good.

I like it.
I think it needs less HP though.
19 is more than some actual buildings, considering this is just a covered hole I think it should be about 5 HP.
That way you need to be careful where you build them. As most units would one-shot it.

Also, archers shouldn't be able to shoot from inside it, and siege equipment shouldn't be able to garrison inside it.

Hmm I agree bout the hp but Just a step on the ambush hole and it is ruined so I thought it could have the same hp as Wolf hole. 20, just decreased 1 for ambush hole.

units cannot attack inside, it's just a hiding spot.
Siege and mounted units shouldn't go in it on the first place. I already said at the beginning that infantry can only get inside.

Ah! Sorry, I misread that.
Sounds like it would be a useful unit that would allow for some interesting strategies.

I couldn't get the image to load to full size on my end, but it looks good from the preview.

Yes, I like this idea.
I think labourers should also be able to start constructing this, it's not logistically anymore difficult than a wolfhole or frisian horse.

Also, since it's underground, should it be buildable on wooded terrain too? (Or if not, shall we consider a hide or something that allows similar actions in woods?)

And is it possible that any unit exiting the hole can have a morale boost for that turn to simulate the effect of a surprise attack?
I also play an RTS game called Life 8-)

Not too hard to dig a hole that can fit a human inside and also add a cover.

Yeah, probably.. But wolf hole isn't buildable at woods terrain.
