CATEGORISATION - IMPLEMENTED

As the no. Of units in aos increase, it becomes increasingly difficult to find a unit. So we need some categories to put all units into and seperate them, especially in the map editor
I suggest the following categories-
Basic units- knights,archers, swordsmen etc
upgraded units- heavy knight, etc
Romans- legionary, centurion,spartan,etc
Egyptians- peltast, egyptian swordsman,etc
Animals- scouts,elephants,deers,etc
Heroes- uncle sam, santa ,etc
Structures- offensive(all towers)
Defensive- walls,gates
Productive-factories,castle
Siege units
Special units- chariots,longbow archer, samurais ,etc
Other units- wagons,workers and other units
Ships
Suggestions are welcome

Maybe make tier?

Your idea makes me think of the terrain part. Maybe combine the two? Is that what you suggesting

The terrains need categories too
They are not tiers actually, just categories
