Early men cleared out forest with their primitive stone tools and fires. But it took not long for them to know the value of wood. But isn't it too long for Aos troops to collect wood rather clearing it. Harvestng wood from trees made ancestors make a stone weapon with handles rather with bare sharp stones. They made advanced weapons like spears and arrows from them. They learnt to build homes . Made ships and almost carry the backbone of civilization in their hands.

My concept is clear. Workers clearing out forest is currently in the game.
  • Maybe Workers can clear out all wood based tiles or neutral structures
  • rather clearing , spawn a unit (maybe a log in a cart)
  • maybe move this cart in a SiegeWorkshop TC or Dock

The next part is slightly different from current game engine i think.
Moving a cart of wood in a TC or Siege Workshop or Dock gives it a temporary buff. But the buff is not turns depended. But a one time use. I will explain.
  • clearing a forest tile spawns a wood cart in the tile
  • moving a wood cart in a TC or other mentioned above adds a buff on it.
  • The buff is not removed till it is used by a seperate ability icon, appear if the cart has approached it.
The buff should be only used once per cart.

My current concept is
  • move the cart to TC and can be used when building a siege or water unit (also wagons) in TC and can reduce the current training cost by 1 or 2
  • move the cart to a siege Workshop or dock , using it can reduce current production cost by 1 or 2
  • move the cart to any building(defensive towers and castle like defences) and using it can permanently increase the unit hp by 10 or 20 percentage.
  • move this to a Blacksmith hut and reduce current research cost by 1 or 2
  • use this on a water or siege unit(woody units) and give it a permanent hp boostof 10 or 20 % this may need a move over water like tile movement ( a boat appearance) to the cart when on water tiles.
Tech cost can be 2

Now if the wood cutting is acceptable we can go to next stage. We are teaching the early men the use of tar.

Tar is a dark brown or black viscous liquid of hydrocarbons and free carbon, obtained from a wide variety of organic materials through destructive distillation. Tar can be produced from coal, wood, petroleum, or peat.
The use of tar dates back to 9th-century Baghdad, which had streets paved with tar, derived from petroleum that became accessible from natural fields in the region.
Producing tar from wood was known in ancient Greece and has probably been used in Scandinavia since the Iron Age. Production and trade in pine-derived tar was a major contributor in the economies of Northern Europe and Colonial America.Its main use was in preserving wooden sailing vessels against rot. For centuries, dating back at least to the 14th century, tar was among Sweden's most important exports.

The research tech can be named tar kiln. It requires wood cutting tech already researched. It cost 3 turns.
It enables a one time transformation ability to wood carts to turn into tar wagons.
  • upon a tar wagon reaching any building it can be used to increases the building hp by 50% ( special ability on building when ever needed but once).
  • getting a tar wagon to a ship or water transport can be used to increase speed by 2 and 10% hp boost to the unit.(only once by ability whenever needed. )

Hmm, like mine carts. This should grant construction materials to workers I suppose. I want this to be a lumberjack instead, to give wood carts to workers to boost mend and construction by lets say 5 ?
