Btw I changed a couple things on armoured spearman, the team color on it isn't working so I refreshed it, I hope it works.

In the documentaries ive watched it seems that the best form of shield is the kite shields so based on the that, i would suggest that the armor and maybe some changes on the shield appearancs design is enough. Or, maybe longer spear?

Longer spear: Spear is enough for me, it doesn't need to be long or else it'll turn to a pike.

The concept (idea of stormsaint) was - swordsman stats, but increased cost for spearman damage vs mounted units. I added a little extra p. armor.
So I would see stats as:

Att: 8 (11) (14)
Armor: 0/1 (0/2) (1/2)
Spd: 3
Sight: 4
Rng: 1
Bonuses:
100% Structures, siege machine, ships
150% Fortifications, armoured siege machine
700% Mega buildings
68% Mounted (+46%)(+34%)
104% Heavy cavalry slow (+82%)(+72%)
135% Medium cavalry, chariot melee (+110%)(+100%)

Hmmmmm,I think the damage doesn't have to be like a man-at-arms

Well, we can make it 8->10->12 and unify the bonuses to reach similar anti-mounted capabilities.
Increase in p.armor can allow that still within realm of balance.
