Midonik has joined the brackets. Updating the player list. I apologise for the awkward setup, but it's the only way I found for me to set up and update brackets

Re: Tournament of Dragons
You probably only registered on the site, not for the specific tournament. It's only showing myself and midonik so far. Try following the link again, after you log in on the challonge site.

Re: Tournament of Dragons
Nice! I would like to play in this, although I admit I am pretty rusty with AoF. I suppose I'll go Orcs.
The day is coming when a single carrot, freshly observed, will set off a revolution.

Re: Tournament of Dragons
Op updated. Doomcarrot added successfully. Ayush, I found your profile and invited you on the site. Hopefully this makes it easier to get you finalized.
Also added race coloring. I'm thinking this color for undead?

Re: Tournament of Dragons
Constantin added, Ayush added fully.
Constantin, I adjusted your display name to fix the 125 out. Check if it shows on your end. It's for the tournament, not the account name I'm sad to say.
Player names now show race color.

Re: Tournament of Dragons
Nice I like this thread. Good idea with a bracket site/tool to handle that instead of manually.
Thanks!

One suggestion for the rules
why don't the management choose the avenue. It would be a lot difficult in getting a map agreement if one does not know many things for this.

Re: Tournament of Dragons
Because I don't feel like picking a map for everyone's games, pretty much you can always ask for suggestions, but I suggest just letting your opponent offer one, and checking it out.Ayush Tiwari wrote:One suggestion for the rules

Features to note:
Water: favors humans, for their superior navy, though undead now compete in that regard. Also files as obstructing terrain.
Obstructing terrain: see the map "the mansion" for an extreme example. Restricted movement prolongs games, as well as increases the effectiveness of ranged and flying units. Starting positions may also be divided, resulting in unfair tc distribution.
Forest: not as bad, but a map like "forest run" can limit building space for anybody but elves.
Corpses: extremely advantageous for undead. A fast created lich can get an army pretty quickly if corpses are naturally nearby.
Animals: provide visibility to elves in fog/explored maps, but mostly are a way for undead to get some easy corpses.

Re: Tournament of Dragons
Is there any recommended size? Playing 45×45 maps will take a lot of time.

Re: Tournament of Dragons
Judge map size by how active you expect you will be. Smaller maps will finish faster, so should be played if you have less time to play. If you plan on playing 2-3 times a day, feel free to use a map large enough to fully research everything, even uruks level 3 if you like.

Re: Tournament of Dragons
Actually not that bad for elves, since sentinels came around, as well as dodge and treetop archery. Scenery might bore me though.LordOfAles wrote:Worst map for elves sooo....SS would hate it
