at most it could cause 30 dmg.

Yeah he needs a rebalance it takes about 3-4 petardiers to destroy a gate if im not wrong.
Gates should have a breached effect when attacked by a petardier or cannon breached effect makes the gate to be passable by any one

This is stirring up an old topic, but isn't it slightly weird that the petardier is worse at his job (busting down buildings and what not) than the assassin is ? And that guy is supposed to specialise in a completely different field of work, and is also invisible!

He should have atleast more bonuses to buildings , or have a huge bonus to gates and gets to be trained at TC .

and maybe seige workshop patards wouldnt really destroy walls that effectively so I believe he should have an effect known as gate breaching (only affects gates and palisade gates) when petardier attacks a gate it give the gate breached effect desc. makes this unit passable by anyone

Well petard was really meant to be used for breaching gates so yeah a breaching aura will be good.Or just make it simplistic making it have huge bonuses to a gate .

they were used to open gates(blasting gates) so that they could enter it
