Changing Plane Production - Bombers, Hydros

Post by Puss_in_Boots »

BOMBERS
Like heavy tanks and battleships are produced in their respective buildings instead of TCs bombers should fit this patern as well. Being the heaviest of planes they cause destructive splash damage whereas fighterbombers do not.

SEAPLANES
Should only be produced from Aircraft Carriers and Shipyards. Because there is simply no way for them to take off from the ground.

Bomber seaplanes (or flying boats) will not be producable at Carriers, only shipyards, because it is assumed that it takes up too much space.

I don't think so. It should be possible to produce everything in cities. Especially in germany, many production facilities were in cities. and part of the heavy industry was there as well. Since most of the cities were located on rivers, you can also build sea planes there.

In Great Britain it should have been similar.

otherwise it should not be possible to build the big sea planes near the airfields, because they actually couldn't use a normal runway.

A river is not great enough of a body of water for take off. Too many bumps, curves, currents and foilage.

Also bigger planes need more space for landing and takeoff. As per Newton's law of inertia objects with more mass accelerate slower. Most bigger airstrips are found outside of cities.
