This sounds a stupid question or something but I didn't see any ww1 or I just didn't know there is, I see no trenches ingame and also some ww1 campaigns.

Yeah, this game is a really more concentrated now in ww2.

Looking at it, it might actually be hard to balance units from ww1 to the ww2 balancing so adding the ww1 aspect might become impossible.
