Age of Alerts
Age of Alerts
EA will not say me what can I do!
Of course the whole campaign will be INSPIRED by original one, not 1:1 the same. I'm going to use only realistic units added by all of you. Every map draft will be on my phone so if you add some new content, I can edit them and give you new version.
About 12 missions will be for USA, about 12 for ZSRR.
What would be nice to add in near time:
-Soviet units! Infantry, tanks, vehicles, attack dogs...
-TC to MapEditor (I didn't find it)
-Some civillian buildings (church, houses or something else)
Until ZSRR doesn't have own units, I will mix Germany and USA units.

Re: Age of Alerts
Soviet will be added. The tc existed in the last version. I think it just a bug in this version.
Re: Age of Alerts
First USA mission sent to Daniel.
Re: Age of Alerts
Triggering second map (visual is done)
Re: Age of Alerts
For third map I need buildable&destroyable bridges. Any chances?

Re: Age of Alerts
Not much time, actually, sorry.
Actually it would be nice to have 3 types of buildable bridges: concrete, wooden and ponton. Now for my campaign most important are concrete ones

ok! they are up on server!
Re: Age of Alerts
Looks Great!
Re: Age of Alerts
I've changed a bit second map (a bit less enemies) and improved triggers for third one. Map 4 is almost done, I test it.
And a storyline is still inspired with Red Alert from Westwood, but now question to you: do you want in a future alternative (canonical or not?) campaign for USRR or only one campaign but divided for acts (act I which I develop for USA, next for Soviets, next for Germans)?

Re: Age of Alerts
Is age of alerts inspired by the red alert games? If so, i can help, since ive played all of the them.HokanPL wrote:EA will not say me what can I do!

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
Re: Age of Alerts
Yes, it's inspired with old good C&C RA1. nice to see another fan of the series.
I don't think if making an campaign by two is good idea - I don't have anything against you or anybody else, but I like working alone Especially now, when I want later take an imspiration from Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge... and Mental Omega
But... did you think about a campaign based on Tiberian Dawn?

Re: Age of Alerts
Last time i played that game was several years ago. I dont remember which one Tiberian dawn is to be honest. Wait a second though. Is there already a game based on C&C games (age of alerts)?HokanPL wrote:Yes, it's inspired with old good C&C RA1. nice to see another fan of the series.

Re: Age of Alerts
I would like to see a campaign of C&C red alert 3, tiberium wars, kanes wrath, generals, zero hour and uprising, but the currect games units dont suit the ones in the games...

Re: Age of Alerts
Age of alerts game was first concept, but EA has banned it (yeah, freeware game which they didn't develop at all, who cares). That's why I make a campaign in AoW - inspired, but not 1:1 copy.

Re: Age of Alerts
Well, thats just fucked up. Its not even similar to any command and conquer game.HokanPL wrote:Age of alerts game was first concept, but EA has banned it (yeah, freeware game which they didn't develop at all, who cares). That's why I make a campaign in AoW - inspired, but not 1:1 copy.

Re: Age of Alerts
Next map almost ready to go - perhaps this is first map ever where you have two variants of inside-storyline
Re: Age of Alerts
Next map sent to Daniel... erm... Strategos When published, please test both varriants of the mission (if you play you'll know what I mean).
BTW: Do you likr this campaign? Something needs update?

ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear devs, testers and players
As I can see, many things in AoWII changed after my last "online status". Would You like to test campaign missions and check if they're still beatable for 3 stars after these changes? Perhaps the limits need to be corrected.
I've bought new phone, which is much faster than the previous one, so map editor doesn't lag anymore creating new maps is much faster and gives me much more pleasure, so expect continuation New missions will be designed and sent to Stratego (eeem, Daniel, right? ) at the same time when I design maps for Age of Fantasy.
