High Explosive Squash Head (HESH)

Post by Christian360 »

A type of ammunition that can be researched through the tank factory. It will improve the effectiveness against enemy tanks and structures moderately. It will slightly improve the tank's effectiveness against infantry or soft targets.

I hope this kind of tech will be approved for the Dev :D
Also check out topic "New Aircraft" in the Vehicles section for AoWW
If there are complaints or if you like it pls comment

Explosive shells should make the tanks deal 50% more damage to infantry and buildings.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Are tech's image still the same size or do they need 64x64 as well?

Dont forget lightly armored tanks, or the ones without protection from spalling.

An AP shell would deal more damage to a lightly armored vehicle. AP shells are designed to penetrate tanks and vehicles in generals. HE shells in the other hand are designed to kill infantry.

It's not HE, it's HESH.
HESH rounds were purposes as anti-tank, but can be used as a multipurpose as it is 90% as effective on infantry as an HE shell, but considerably better when dealing with Bunkers and buildings.

We might just make HEAT shells to counter tanks then.

I think we should just leave things the way they are.

Okay, but these shells arent effective at countering other tanks.

Then maybe just infantry should get bonus against buildings? OR both infantry and tanks?

And yes they arent effective against tanks, otherwise normal AP shells would have been replaced by HE shells a long time ago.

I thought I suggested this before...

Must've thought it was too complex, but now I think it is better to be able to chose the effectiveness or bonuses of the tank you're controlling.
