Aquarias campaign-feedback!

Post by DoomCarrot »

Hey, so I have begun work on a storyline campaign! The first few maps may be somewhat trigger heavy. I would like some feedback on the current maps that I have sent to dev version.

1. "The Long Road"-this map is meant to be easy, but please make sure there are no issues. Also, any feedback is welcome!
2. "City Drama"-this map may be very confusing if you don't read the intro. I wasn't able to test this myself very well, since I made the map, (you will see why this made the map easy). So, if the map seems too difficult, please tell me what the turn limit should be.

Thank you! I assure you there shall be actual battle maps to come in the near future!

Do I need to reinstall the DEV version so I can play these new maps?

Well, I just sent the maps to Daniel this morning, so it might take some times for them to get to dev version.

And yes, ten towers is not part of this campaign, it was just one I made for fun :)

I played them.First one is easy.Win in 13 turns first time.I think 3 star requirement can be 14 turns.
Second one is interesting.I haven't see the tips and I win it in 30 turns. There are 3 spies there so when I caught a spy in garden,he said "no" 3 times.Am I correct?

I haven't check them have a bug or not.I just played them.

Hmm, maybe I should make the spies neutral team to prevent cheating. Also, yes there are 3 spies, if you found all 3 and won then it is working well. :D

And you can reduce wagons hp to 1 so you will lose more easily. :)

I might give the player ordinary pikemen instead to make it more challening. The map isn't supposed to be hard tough, it's only the first map.

Both maps have been updated, I have sent them to Daniel:

Map 1: Replaced some OP units with pikemen.
Map 2: Some trigger editing, changed the spies in the city to neutral team, so you cannot really spot them in the map overview picture.

You can win in turn 11 if you ignore knights attack.

Ok, I have sent the 3rd map in for playtesting. I am still working on the map description story, so sorry if the map makes no sense.

However, there is a ton of triggering, so some things to test:

1. Any typos in dialog
2. Turns to win requirement. Is 10 to easy?
3. If any of the Lords or Ladies die (except King Rollan), you should lose. If a lord or lady dies and you don't lose, please tell me.
4. Once all the purple dudes are killed, you should win. If this doesn't happen, or you somehow win before that please tell me.

I don't think there are any bugs, as I spent the last few days fixing quite a few. Also, I know the map is somewhat easy and straightforward again, but if you think it is way to ridiculously easy, please tell me which lord/lady I should nerf if any.

Don't worry, this is the last story building map, I promise! From here on will be actual battles and tc conquest maps. :)

I win in 3rd time.I deleted all defenders so I can win faster.I win in 7 turn.I think you can change it into 7 turns.I think all triggers are ok.

Oh no, that's a very very cheesy way to win :|

Ok, so I'm going to change the defenders to an ally team, so they cannot be deleted.

Ok, I fixed the defenders-they are now on an ally team so you cannot delete them. I also changed some dialogues and triggers. Also edited some dialogues on the other two maps/added a trigger or two.

After many edits, the first 3 maps are ready to be published as a campaign! (I hope).

Map 4 has finally been sent to the market for playtesting! It currently has no intro text.

There is a ton of triggering, so please tell me if you encounter anything weird. Also, please see if the turn limit is challenging!

Wait, what? I thought the market replaced the send to dev feature, because the "send to dev" is grayed out, but the "send to market" is not?

In other words, I can't send it to your email without digging for the actual files and stuff because the send to dev button no longer works...

Anyways, market will work for playtesting by others, right?

Oh no, I didn't make the map on dev version.... :(

I deleted dev version by accident when I was clening my tablet a while ago, and so I have been using the published version.

First map easy. But nice opener :D Cant remember how many turns...

Second map...GRRR lol. Found a couple spies fairly early, then the workers accused me of being a slave-driver and walked off (nice touch).

Now im wondering around the town, sightseeing....and socialising with the locals.
Currently on turn 40

YAY found him...50 turns. Frustration, which led to laughter..as this spy must have been rolling on the floor

Will do the third map in a bit. Good story so far.

What is the name of the map? (it is on the map market?)
I can get it for you, I think.
Thanks!
