I played campaign.
Around 30-40 minutes of play - surely quick enough to classify as easy campaign.
Definitely a keeper - it was fun.
Especially last map - really novel idea.
It must have been extremely hard to come with that many descriptions of possible combinations.

Few things to change though:
- huge map turn limit increase xp too much and falsifies expectations.
I'd go for : 15, 15, 15, 20, 20, 50, 10
Bigger enough from real expected turn limit to get some extra, but not too much.

- 4th map would be better with some explanation
why hero is in the forest suddenly

- 5th map (Richard death defying) needs some hint
during the enemy power-up, e.g. explanation, that after hitting not only arena crumbles, but also some things from higher level storage falls

- on two maps (unfortunately don't remeber which) there is message order messed up.
On one of them winning message is covering last message.
On the other (I think it might have been last one) message with ending effect is hiding behind it the one with proper description.

Turn limit change seems like a must, the rest are only my advices to make it better.

@LordOfAles Sorry, I created topic for your campaign. It's in the dev version right now and I wanted to post my comments to maybe change those before publishing.

Thank you Endru, I didn't really realize xp is some sort of thing now. I'll make sure to change the turn limit to less for all the maps. As for 4th map, I'll add a slight hint to run, I thought it's self explanatory what to do by comparing yours and Manuel's stats. On 5th map I don't think there's a lot more to do other than punch Richard anyways, so that seems fine. Now, I don't recall putting any dialogue right after winning on a map. Maybe you killed the enemy with one of the map assets (Like boomshrooms, toxin cloud etc.) That triggers the dialogue for stepping onto those tiles, AND you win if the enemy dies so victory screen covers the dialogue effect. As for one with last map, I fear I can't change that else it'll look awkward. Like waiting in place for hoplites to move aside and for the message to trigger on a future turn. Thanks for the feedback!

Does Dev version need updating more regularly as things are added to it? Cheers

It does. I believe the campaign and map were implemented only yesterday, so simply updating your dev version will do the trick, @phoenixffyrnig.

On 4th map it's not about what to do.
Only in map description there should be some more explanation why hero is suddenly in the forest, like a break in arena battles or that forest was always a road to sleeping quarters.
Comparing to other maps desc is kinda short.
On 5th map I mean in message on trigger.

I just finished the campaign in 30mins... I miss playing campaigns, and Hi LordOfAles



Very good story, and that pokemon style battle at the end is cool, I forgot those were possible

[spoiler] I was able to get the perfect ending with all four moves, slash arm, cut off head, thrust through spine, i forgot the fourth gruesome ending lol, and i also forgot the combination to get those endings :P looks like i have to play it again

This is a memeworthy map: mc brutally cuts off head, arms and pierces through stomach

Lmao, well that princess in particular likes brutalities, what can I say? Judging from the amount of times you tried that thing out, looks like Battleheart wasn't that uninteresting as Daniel thought it would be. In fact, the last level is my proudest map so far. 24+ hours spent on just setting up the triggers and writing dialogue for combat moves!
