There are 5 superpower nations where you can buy your weapons or vehicles from. You can choose to invest your money to one of them to improve them. Each nations have different weapons or vehicles characteristic.

United States
Russia
China
Japan
Germany
All actions of buying weapons and action are done in a new building.

I think there's still a debate as to whether humans have spread into space already and it's full on outer space, or if it's semi modern, where humans are defending their own planet/solar system. Either way, humans would present a united front, either putting aside their differences in the interests of survival or having already united in the act of expanding past our own solar system.
