iI think the droid (battle droid and battle tank) should be a mercenary unit (unlockable, both race can use them)

I think droids should be available in both sides too.
My idea fire The races were a little bit like in C&C Generals.

Two sides (empire vs. Rebellion) with a choosable specialization for example with fast damage dealing units (head hunter, sniper) or tanks and flamethrowers

I played some maps yesterday, what's about some more ground infantry?

For example:
..for the empire
- Stormtrooper (normal infantry)
- Heavy Trooper (better armored, maybe jetpack?)
- Sniper (damage dealer, long distance, needs one turn to reload after shot)
- Rocket Trooper (AT)

-Head Hunter (like assasin in AoS, but distance attack)

..for the rebellion
- Soldier (like empire)
- Flamethrower (area damage on the 3 front tiles)
- Sniper (like empire)
- Rocket Soldier (like empire)

- Wookie (distance unit, like Samurai)

I think that are mostly balanced units, which give the empire and rebellion some more differences

I thought about a rocket unit too.
Well, what is the difference vbetween the stormtrooper and the clone?

about the headhunter:I thought of it too. I don't think that headhunter is a balanced unit....
Maybe if they use an unit named suicide clone... which can fly and works like assasin?

Wookie It sounds a good idea, but I need to think about it more...

there's no difference, I just wrote a complete list of them :D.

When the head hunter will be destroyed after his attack and is more expensive as the assasin? I think it'll be a good unit against the jedis, so cheap troops have to clean the head hunters and aren't as useless. Maybe the rebels need a anti-sith unit also? or the jedi are more effective then the sith against each other, so it's fair?

In general I would increase the attack distance of all the blaster equiped units, so the gameplay is more like handling with rifles

Well, the laser ranges... The game has just started so we first want to balance the units that are currently in game and add a few more units, and of course the campaigns. I think the range is ok at the moment. I think the higher range will be used in another unit.

When you look at a battle like hoth even the 'normal' infantry can shoot many meters, think it's a good idea when we build some of the battles as campaign maps

All are good ideas, but first we must finalize the races and the unit ideas should be added to each proper "race" we define.

here is my suggestion to the "race" separation

1. Republic(pre-clone wars and clone wars era): jedis, wookies, nabboo men, gangens, clones (+ spaceships they have used)
2. Separatists(pre-clone wars and clone wars era): siths , Tecnouoios, trade federation men (neimoidi?), droid army, genosis flying ones (+ spaceships they have used)
3. Empire (post-clone wars era): siths, Troopers (+ spaceships they have used)
4. Rebels(post-clone wars era): jedis, wookies, ewoks, Han solo like people, Batai (spies), Mon Calamaries (+ spaceships they have used)

And if we are adding the rest of the appearing races into one collected races who are “neutral”-s as they are independent from the two sides:
5.a Independents (pre-clone wars and clone wars era): Jawa, Hut (Jabba), Taskens, Caminois, headhunters, mending droid (which you hit on face and collapses to a disk), Toidari (anakin’s owner) (+ spaceships they have used)
5.b Independents2 (post-clone wars era): Jawa, undi-bundy, GAmorrai (jabba’s soldiers), RAnkor (the big monster jabba owned), Rodian (ugly green headed headhunter) (+ spaceships they have used)

(maybe these independents can be merged into one "race" definition)

Sorry for the misspelled namings, I do not have time now to find out the real names (it is from my memory)

What do you think of the race-separation I suggested?
