battleship

Post by TheBluePhoenix »

A huge ship, high health, armour and cost. Can attack multiple targets at once and also release smaller drone ships to counter attack. It should have a pulse cannon for main attack which should have devastating capabilities and cooldown of 3 turns. After using this cannon, the ship should not be able to move for 2 turns due to a huge loss of electric power used to charge the canon

I like the idea. Maybe with a small/moderated firepower but multiple shoots, and the main cannon with a great damage and maybe stunning the enemy too? Slow movement and maybe a skill like hyperjump which lets it move a lot but will cool down for a large amount of turns.

Then this unit should be very costly and having many cooldown turns for its abilities

But it looks more like a command ship rather than a battleship. I think image one which i posted suits the unit best. Lets ask for other opinions too

I think balint's first image is the best. It is the most realistic and consistent with the star wars universe. IMO :)

But I better point out that there should probably be a different image and stats for each factions battleship (as east factions battleships had very different designs) I believe balint's fist image is a republic battleship/cruiser. You will stil need a separatist battleship, imperial battleship/star destroyer. And a rebel battleship. Balint's second image may work as a good rebel battleship. Ill try and fine some images for the separatist and empire ships :)

I was thinkig of grading battleships into different classes. Like balints 1st image is 1st grade, my first image is 2nd grade etc.
Ejm : balints ship looks more like a commander ship from which smaller battleships come out and destroying it results in destruction of the whole armu indirectly. My posted image 1 is very similar to a battleship i saw in the series.the other 2 images are just good and sci fi hence i posted them. Moreover they all have a huge pulse canon already hence easier to draw. I think balints 1st image be called COMANDEER SHIP

I think it would be best to make 2 battleship tiers.
First tier is the basic ones, for the good side, my picture 1 and for the evils the separatist1 ship.
Tier 1 units will be similar, but have different strength (eg. The rwpublic ship is stronger attacker, but the separatist can take in more damage.)
Tier 2 units will be specialised. 2 type for each side. Good side: The modified tier 1 with a rage cannon, and the modified tier 1 with much more carry capacity.
Evil side might have the modified tier 1 with an ion cannon and a star destroyer (empire ship) which is stronger in attack, has carry capacity and has higher hull, but moves slower and has a higher innacuracy

Nothing, but I cant thin of any special ability for that :) And we have the imperial battleship as the advances one, so I think it would be nice to add one with a special ability as a different tier 2 type. Your first picture is more likely a good tier 1 battleship. But if you have any other idea, I gladly consider that :)
