It was the first tank developed in Germany after the Second World War.
came into service 1964 and was sold to 13 countries. was constantly further developed and improved

great! but i don't know if Germany will be a good nation to add. one day i was looking at the heated discussion between some two guys on discord on how Germany cannot be a nations since it doesn't have "a sufficient amound of units" and how they want to "merge" (idk what that means) with other WTO (Warsaw pact I guess?) nations like Poland, Romania and Hungary.

yeah lol
they will be in game just not as a nation by its self due to its lack of capable units
IDK what they will be merged with but hopefully it makes sense.

yes, germany doesn't have that many of its own units, but the leopard tanks, whether 1 or 2, have been sold all over the world. in addition, the cannon from the leopard 2 is also built into the usa's m1 abraham. and the german arms industry with its manufactured goods is one of the top 10 arms exporters.
We can still decide whether and how this tank will come into play.

should nato come into play as a "nation", some of its partners would then also use this tank.

So, should we replace the "EU" faction with NATO? Well the EU's faction image is the NATO logo, right?

no these are two different flags

eu:

nato:
https://www.google.com/search?q=nato+fl ... 36&bih=750

there are also different states in it. question here would be with the nato which time we consider. because after the fall of the udssr many countries in the direction of the east have come to it which belonged before to the warsaw pact.

suggestion here would be around 1991 as long as there was the warsaw pact
