An attack and air support plane, initially designed to operate from aircraft carriers and carry bombs, unguided rockets and torpedoes against Japan in the Pacific War, but the war ended before the project was finalized.
With the advent of the jet engine, the navy took a long time to acquire it, the engine was the same used by the B-29 and could carry the same amount of bombs as a B-17, it was resistant and could withstand direct hits of anti-artillery -air.
It was widely used in the Korean War and the Vietnam War where support for infantry units was very useful.

The bombs on the wings will look good, an incredible detail, but it needs shading.

Fun fact: An A-1 once dropped a toilet during the Vietnam war.

Yep, it had broken on board the Forestall, I believe, and they were about to hit a milestone so they decided to add it to the payload.
