Char 2C IMPLEMENTED

Post by BrenoHenrique »

The Char 2C (also known as FCM 2C) was a heavy tank developed by France for the First World War. It was never used in combat. Designed at the end of the First World War, it was designed to participate in the great offensive planned for 1919, this heavily armed tank was able to cross trenches up to 5.20 M and provide direct fire support to the infantry. It was an extremely ambitious project for French industrial capacity. The order was given to start its manufacture in January 1918, where only 10 were manufactured by Forges Chantiers de la Méditerranée in their shipyards from 1919, and were delivered in 1921. With the entry of France in World War II, eight tanks in service depended on the 511th Tank Regiment, which was dissolved and grouped in the 51st Tank Battalion under the command of Major Fournet, who had two more of these tanks.
