PANZER IV/70 (A) IMPLEMENTED

Post by BrenoHenrique »

the Panzer IV / 70 (A) was born out of previous German attempts to place 7.5 cm L / 70 in a Panzer IV tower. As this was not possible, another solution was proposed by Alkett's company. His design simply reused a modified Vomag Panzer IV / 70 (V) superstructure (armed with the 7.5 cm L / 70 gun) and placed it in a standard Panzer IV tank chassis. The result was a much taller and heavier vehicle than the Panzer IV / 70 (V) version. In theory, this would have accelerated the entire production process, but in reality, only a small number were built at the end of the war.
