Regarding Good and Evil sides. Archived

Post by Savra »

Alright so I was asking to which side do each race go? So far what I've noticed is this:

Good:
1)Humans (too many holy units)
2)Elves (Nature lovers)
3)Dwarves (mainly miners and have some holy units)
4)

Neutal:
1)Scaledfolk (They seem too good to be evil, and a little too savage for good)
2)
3)
4)

Evil:
1)Undead (They always are)
2)Orcs (^)
3)
4)

If you were to make a 3 vs 3 match with all 6 races which would go were in terms of one side being evil and the other being good.

You don't have to respond to this topic unless you feel bored enough to just debate this subject.

Human elves and dwarves For me in any fantasy lore don't get along well with eachother

Dwarves usually trade and stuff but it benefits themselves and right now
Dwarves and humans haven't trade anything from which it seems ( humans have no gunpowder which is only possible from trading with dwarves )

Elves???? Good???
They are like cats imo, looking down at everyone else and protecting the forest.
Humans are always expanding which usually means deforestation. You can imagine how elves with think "These lowly pigs, dare touch the forest?!"

If it doesn't evolve the forest they couldn't care less.

Same with dwarves. I always saw them down to business.

Honestly with the 2 new sub fractions humans will get they could be the only "good ones" while dwarves and elves are neutral

Heheh. This is depends on story.

And in them orcs can be good and work with humans while evil elves will work with scaledfolks to stop deforestification while dwarves along with undeads are neutral mercenaries.

Just as an example.

Each race can be both good and evil (exept of if it was as separate race demons which would be true evil).

I am suggesting a bit different categorisation for races if you want (taken from D&D):
1. Aligment: Good/Neutral/Evil.
2. Organisation: Order/Neutral/Chaos.

As i see races:
1. Undeads (by themselves) are Evil Order.
1.1. Demons are Evil Chaotic.
1.2. The Veil is Neutral Order.
2. Orcs are Neutral Chaotic.
2.1. Uruks are Evil Neutral.
2.2. "Armies of Dark Lord" (i think it is called that way?) are Evil Chaotic.
3. Scaledfolks are Truly Neutral (Neutral x2).
3.1. Kobolds and lizardmen are Neutral Order.
3.2. Dragons and other beasts are Neutral Chaotic.
4. Elves are Good Neutral. (Wood Elves)
4.1. New Moon Elves are Good Chaotic.
4.2. Rising Sun Elves are Good Order.
5. Humans are Good Order.
5.1. Warfell is Good Neutral.
5.2. Maybe add for humans Good Chaotic subrace.
6. Dwarves are Good Chaotic and Neutral Order at the same time.
6.1. Frostfire clan is Neutral Chaotic.
6.2. Gnomes are Good Order.

Race or sub can work with any race or sub that is not completely opposite to it in both categories (Good Chaotic can't work with Evil Order and Good Order can't work with Evil Chaotic); Neutrals can work with any (Also Evil Chaotic can't work with any Good Aligment race and vise versa — they are completely evil and they want only to bring chaos and destruction.)
Race or sub also has conflict with any race or sub that is opposite to it in one of 2 categories (though that doesn't restrict their ability to work together. They just have some contradictions which can lead sometimes to war but that is not certain... Also Neutrals are not opposite to any of and don't have contradictions with any of side until they are not enter into their zone.)

This is my point of vision for them. Also i don't count for now some other subs for undeads, humans and maybe for other races because i don't track them for now so i have nearly no info about them.

Humans: any alignment: good specific units, but can be mislead

Elves: Good or Neutral/ Chaos: Love nature, balance, ALL life is precious. Individualistic, free will.

Dwarves: Good or Neutral/ Law: Prize treasure, Honor-bound, Staunch allies or Eon long enemies.

Scaledfolk: Neutral or Evil/ Neutral or Chaos: rituals may cause evil acts, mainly reclusive, prize nature.

Orcs: Neutral or Evil/ Law or Chaos: Honor ancient tradition, war-like, Savage.

Undead: Evil/Law or Chaos: Hate all life, honor-bound, feed upon all, life means nothing, dominate all or slay all.

We have to think about it a bit more.
Wise, Might, Loyalty. Forever stands Warfell.

They simply differ from story to story. No one can be completely sure. There are always loopholes.
