men at arms
2 ideas...
an upgrade for footmen (the upgrade was supossed to be swordmen) or another ifferent unit, more expensive but better...
i would really like them to be a different unit, that way we could give each faction a different version of the men at arms...
example:
-warhammer version: for england, spain
-sword version: for france, the holy empire
-halberd version: hungary, polish lithuanian commonwealth
similar to late knights versions...

Ok i decided to search more about this:
1 man at arms was a military function
2 knight was a nobility rank
3 all knights were men at arms
4 non all men at arms were knights
So this unit will represent those men at arms that are not knights. They used to fight on horseback, they tehy fiught as heavy foot infantry too. So we could make it a mountable-dismountable knight version
Heavy infantry-cavalry, without some abilities the knights could have to make the distiction.
The weapons could be different too: halberdiers, warhammer, swords, lamce (when mounted)
My suggestion is to make it a infantry unit with lots of posibilities: anti-heavy, anti-mounted, antu-infantry. Deppending on the arm they use.
Make lots of version of them could be nice too, or just make one foot version with all these arms incluided. So bonuses could be decided deppending on that too.

they would be stronger, and lots of variants not limited by the faction (one faction will only be able to produce 1 knid of foot knight) also there will be mountable-dismountable variant too
but knights would have abilitites like die hard, slight healing ability and maybe aura bonuses
so, while foot knights role deppends on the faction u chose, men at arms role deppends on what variant u produce...

Ahhhhhh good idea
So all factions can produce all versions of man at arms.
But some factions will have access to 1 or 2 dismounted knight variants that make them specialised.
