i have no response since if he succeded.

shall i give modding to someone else too?

If someone wants and compromises with the project, sure.
If u ask me for reciving how-to-modding, i can learn, i have time.

"ege": you mean "eg."? means "for example".

i asked because i see you work many on the project so maybe you also want to be able to put the things into the game itself.

L4cus is already modding AOG and already put in a few AOD units.
ask L4cus for help if you want to mod it too.

and cooperate.

Problem with unit type name (it is must be with big letters)
+tech sharpened saber don't exist, so this is solvable problem...

Sharpen sabre is a planed tech...
There were some things to change...it will not work untill we create a french faction (modifying another race like reptilians)
I am working on it(the json will have another id)
As i told to quadrople, dont forget to modify assest file jsons(from aog). Dont modify allready modified jsons (the id will be used twice that way)

So the only problems I had in that json to be exact was...

French faction
Capital letters
Sharpened sabers
And a duplicate Id

I understand the first three but the duplicate id I do not know..
How do I modify jsons without using existing ones?

What u must do is change the values from existing jsons. But dont modify modified jsons. If i modify human riflemen, u cant modify that unit. If 2 jsons share the sae id then the game wont be able to run(i suposse it becomes confused when it comes to read the jsons and realizes there are 2 human riflemen (id repeated))
If i modify human riflemen json and rename it as "musketeers" and then u modify human riflemen and rename it as "marines", the game wont know if it must run musketers or marines when the player ask for them while playing, so before the game crashes, it doesnt allow u to continue if u dont fix the error...(it is as i understand, like u have 1 email adress woth two passwords)

i try a simpler way:
- you can keep the ID if you "overwrite" the file so the ID will be your unit instead of the earlier one.
- you HAVE to make a new ID if y ou ADD a new unit and you "copy" the file as new to the folder. (!!! this case dont forget to register the new id in the id/*_units_IDlist.txt file! - ther should be listed all ID-s so every modder knows which is used - ALSO! as there is not ony one modder now in AOD i suggest to open a topic and share your "consumed" new ID in a forum topic so others will know instantly not to use it.)

not this, make one like "AOD Modding: USED unit IDs" or similar topic for it.
where there are no any discussion - only listing used ID-s
