This is sort of a fictional Post-Modern warfare genre.

I'm open to any ideas at this stage, since nothing has been finalized! Feel free to suggest additional content for backstory, factions and anything!

Some crucial information

Haze Dust
The Haze Dust is a mysterious substance with many potentials left to be discovered by humanity. It was never discovered until they spread out from the rifts under Black Pillars during the Catastrophe, there are many arguments and debates revolving the origins of Haze Dust - some theories suggested they are from deeper underground parts of crust that human never reached before, some theories suggested that they are particles transmuted by Black Pillars.
Haze Dust are unstable in nature, and are highly neurotoxic. Contact with Haze Dust is known to cause a disease called White Poisoning, which most of the patients experience loss of memory, conscious damage, and neural disorder. High doses of Haze Dust can crystallize organic matters, which is very likely to cause severe mutation and death. However, with a right dose, it can be used for augmentation of human body - Besides enhancing senses, recent researches have discovered some people gain supernatural powers after Haze Dust infusion, making them an very important strategic resource. They are mostly used for military and research purpose.

White Zones
Wastelands with moderate to severe Haze Dust pollution are collectively classified as White Zones, often originate and spread from the Black Pillars. In these wastelands, not only every surface you can find are covered with thick layer of crystallized Haze Dust, the air also has a high concentration of suspending Haze Dust, not only causing the air unsuitable for breathing, the suspending Haze Dust also form hazes that reduces visibility. Without protection gears, stepping into White Zones is suicidal.
Yet, the White Zones aren't as silent as you might imagine - some lifeforms, including some humans, somehow able survive in these deadly wastelands. However these living beings are no longer the same as they had been before, since, under the conscious-eroding effect of White Poisoning, they are mindless and mentally unstable beasts, collectively named as "The Forgotten".
White Zones are always growing - regions near Black Pillars seemed to generating Haze Dust nonstop, and they spread to other unpolluted regions by, usually means of wind. To contain the spreading Haze Dust pollution, the various Wind Barriers has been built across the world to protect the important cities and settlements.
