A stone brick tower with a roof
Bop
Martello tower consisted of two storeys (sometimes with an additional basement). The ground floor served as the magazine and storerooms, where ammunition, water, stores and provisions were kept. The garrison of 24 men and one officer lived in a casemate on the first floor, which was divided into several rooms and had fireplaces built into the walls for cooking and heating.[6] The officer and men lived in separate rooms of almost equal size. A well or cistern within the fort supplied the garrison with water. An internal drainage system linked to the roof enabled rainwater to refill the cistern.

Now I know these were before ww2 but they were used.
some were coastal or in the water and some where inland so I thought maybe it could be special if it could be placed on water with a bridge back to land for infantry men to walk to and from and on land.
not possible or stupid or whatever no one cares?

Re: Martello Tower / Italian Mega Building
Aren't these British??
Or it's just that the design is based of an Italian one?

Hi there,
Unfortunately, these buildings are simply too old. According to Wiki, these structures were used "[a]t the beginning of the nineteenth century" and that they "became obsolete with the introduction of powerful rifled artillery." I don't know for sure, but WWII artillery was definitely more advanced than rifled cannon. In other words, these were a distant memory at the beginning of WWII. We have another topic similar to this, you should check it out.

A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
