Armored amphibious landing crafts

They were amphibious tracked vehicles that functioned for the purpose of landing troops and armor onto beach fronts... They've seen extensive use in the pacific and european theatres mainly during sea to land invasions such as D-Day and the invasion of Iwo-Jima

There would be two types...
Both would have anti infantry armaments
American landing craft had Browning .50 calls
One would carry infantry companies whilst the other would carry non amphibious armor, trucks, and the like.

This would need usrful. Seems to me the transports are kind of underused.
