Hi! I was under the impression that some shading was needed. Sorry for butting in. :)
So I gave it a go. Here is one with and without the black outline. They are 32x40, transparency enabled.
I hope I am helping, but if not, let me know.

yes but tiled cuts off part of it.
I should have said 40*32 (xy) because I think it overlaps to the right. :)
Thanks!

what about this 1x1 overlappng to top (32px width) - maybe the turret is too long.

Do you want all overlaps to be to the top, or is to the right okay also?
Thanks!

The overlapping image is perfect!
What color is your flag when it's burning?!

to right: we never did that so i am not sure if it is working or not - and can be weird i think only to right (and not to left) - if you can make sample images and look good i can check if i can do it in code.

thanks

Patroid: i wrote somewhere the way people and me react on posts - do not get offended if not everyone says something.
Your image is a slight correction of the one i quickly made, and your corrections are good.
(remark: i made it only to show you the way we can do top tile overlapping.)

also: you are the design leader here, so you can:
- have opinion and decision on image looks
- you can say that a unit is final or not (image/stats anything)
- if you think your tank is ok, than that will be the image for that (it is only me who can override your decision :))
->> so you can state that a Tiger will look like this if no one has any suggestion to consider (it is not not necessary to anyone have any suggestions!).

your goal as design leader:
1. have all units the game will need (without the extra "upgrade" units) so the basic units that are balanced to each other (bonuses and so on):
- unit/structure stats
- images
- sounds
2. have all random maps the game needs to launch
3. have all campaigns the game needs to launch

basically these are your goals.

it might take a bit of time for me to react, so enjoy your time before I start critisng :D

I won't do that .
If your image is good, than it will have views but no replies.
especially if I am the replier :)
This is Hungary and winter is coming.

Here, Daniel. This is a sample image for overlapping to the side. Tell me if it does not look good enough. It is a sample battleship 54x32 (xy) in American colors.

please try it on a sample map to see how it look in these cases:
- an other unit/ship is on the right (where we are overlapiing on.
- he stands on the shore - will this overlap to the ground? (4 cases: shore left, shore right, shore top, shore bottom)
- he stands on the shore - and on the shore there is a tank will this overlap to the tank?
- there are many of these ships in a bunch - how they look.
- ... whatever you can come up to see how it look.
thanks!
