Insectoid naval techs

Insectoid need a reliable way to get better stats on their ships through techs. Reptilians have laser weapons techs, humans have projectiles (those insectoids could steal but it's hard to do on naval maps) and artillery trackers. Their ships scale up quite a lot so insectoids need something too.
I don't really know what it could be. Maybe just generic attack/armour.

Maybe a buff for the units spawning from the hive ships? They feel quite weak with a too long a cooldown at the moment.
Or maybe I'm going for the wrong targets.

Beelzeflies are blockers, not attackers. Use to stop enemies from reaching your ships. Although the effectiveness of that is disputable.

Also those are a part of ground combat too.
