Amphibious Infantry

Post by Puss_in_Boots »

Humans are lacking amphibious infantry.

I want to bring it up now before I have an image ready

I imagine them having scuba gear and same stats as generic riflemen with exception of:
Speed: 2 >100% speed on water tile

Humans lacking amphibious infantry? How did you come to that conclusion? I don't think such units should be a standard really. Humans already have transport ships and hovercrafts, can't they transport infantry thru water just fine?

Well there is very little strategic difference between having infantry in the water and above the water, so you got me there.

Maybe next I'll come up with hover infantry

And if I were to suggest the submerge ability, whats to cancel the transformation on land?

I don't think we can make terrain required for an transformation to be possible atm. We could make them have 0 speed on land when submerged but it will still be possible, looking super dump.
