Guided missiles launcher IMPLEMENTED

Post by Midonik »

An variation of the rocket artillery, using AT missiles with high penetration that are guided by AI to it in the tanks' weakest spot. Sensors are instaled on every projectile and information collected by them is sent to te main computer on the artillery piece that analyzes it to determine the best trajectory. It is more expensive (4 turns) and has less range than normal artillery (3 for base) as well as firepower (less base attack?) but is higly efffective against vehicles. Maybe it should also have a bonus against planes? It is also affected by the projectile techs.

For the image I was thinking of someting like the Nebelwerfer with an electronic device and some other sci-fi details attached.

@samuelch helped with this idea.

Tell me, what is the size of the images? I read the required topic but the link there moves to the beginning of the forum.

It seems that moving forums made the links useless, ehhh.

Ok so, it looks pretty good, however changes are needed.

I will start with the stuff I like: the gun and the main body look quite well. You made it look kinda like it's an vehicle, which is not the intention, but I guess that window can be a console or smt.

Stuff that needs to be changed/added:

You should add an transparent, grey shadow under it.

Colour - this is an military gun - it needs camo, it can't be this bright. I suggest using similar colours as in the image I attached.

It needs to be turned into the other side, like every image in game.

Legs - this, like I said, is not an vehicle. It's meant to be pushed by men/pulled with vehicles, like conventional artillery. Use the attached image as reference. (The shadow there is wrong tho, it needs to be transparent) Actually, maybe just give it wheels instead of legs?

The shading and texture could probably be improved but I won't demand it from you.

Tho it still appears like it's a vehicle.

Actually I guess it being a vehicle is not that bad. It would make sense for it to be effected by EMP anyway since it's meant to use an computer. How about you make it tracked instead of wheeled?

Here are 3 options. In the version with wheels, I tried to make it look like a tripod for a tool with wheels for moving. The last option is not mechanical legs, but simply a mount.

???
Can you describe what you mean, there seems to be an language barrier here.

Anyway, the third option actually looks very tempting cause then 1 speed will make sense and we won't have to increase the cost even higher. The image can still be improved, however we would need someone who knows how to pixel art, unlike me, to give you advice.

I meant that option 3 does not move, these are not mechanical legs, but props. Option 3 is a cannon that needs to be transported by transport itself, it does not walk

I think if you choose a specific option, I will work on it still. Usually, the more time I spend with a drawing, the better I get it.I didn't try hard with option 3 as I thought it was unlikely, which is why the props look so crooked.

It could have a pack/unpack mode, similar to the siege cart for the catapult.

No

I much prefered the earlier style with 4 legs, can we go back to that? I do like the new computer thingy as a concept. The entire image needs more work.

So you want me to tackle the old image with legs or add 4 legs to the new image?
