A Mix of a jeep and a 4x4 truck called the Warthog
in the game It could be called Bigboar for copyright reasons

Re: Warthog/50.cal chain gun jeep
What do you propose would be the in-game role of this unit?
This sounds like it its meant to transform between three modes or smt.The vehicle can have a mounted chain gun on the back or a anti tank cannon or a grenade launcher

Re: Warthog/50.cal chain gun jeep
Well no it doesn't transform
It was built for exploration, survival, and combat responsibilities
It would act as a armored car I suppose
The three things are weapons that could be mounted on the back.
Fun fact about it
When stranded and have no water or food the vehicle has its own filtration unit for any natural liquid to filter clean water

Re: Warthog/50.cal chain gun jeep
So it is a fast armoured car that can attack ground units? Seems nice. I think a good name would be the Puma or something like that.

Re: Warthog/50.cal chain gun jeep
The reason it was name warthog was because of the winch system looked like the teeth of a boar and the acceleration it had
Puma seems to weak for a vehicle like this
I'm thinking more like rhino or honey badger
Something that charges at you,
not stalk you in the middle of night

You say that the three things you listed "could be weapons mounted on it", but we can't have all three I don't think. We should make a decision.
Also I don't like "nickname" names all that much. I would prefer to call it what it is. So maybe just an "armored car".

Then it would be anti-infantry I suppose?

I had to transform an AB-41 from the 1940s to a futuristic jeep from the 2552s.

Maybe you can do the rocket, SAM and gauss cannon versions, too.

Re: Warthog/50.cal chain gun jeep
I don't think we really need such versions.
It looks good on it's own, but I have some problems with it as a part of the big picture. Firstly, it looks very similar to the scout vehicle in game (image attached). Secondly, it has a different colour palette than most human units. Tho if we changed it it would probably be even harder to distinguish between it and the scout vehicle. I guess we can keep the green colours, but try to make it more different from the scout vehicle nonetheless.

I made it as similar as possible to the image. What should I add?Midonik wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 5:50 am I don't think we really need such versions.

Re: Warthog/50.cal chain gun jeep
There is no need to stick to the design we are basing the unit on too much.
I think it would be great to make it a closed vehicle, so its more of an armored car than a jeep. That would make more sense for the role it could have in game, and make it significantly different from the scout vehicle.

I closed it like a humvee and added an added 20mm turret.Midonik wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 6:12 am There is no need to stick to the design we are basing the unit on too much.

Re: Warthog/50.cal chain gun jeep
A turrent? Well it was supposed to be anti-infantry, so I guess its an autocannon with he shells maybe?
The image seems good now, but I just noticed that its wheels are disconnected from the vehicle. Whats up with that?

Here I replaced the flag of the emblem (this is the Human emblem I hope?) For those who hate the flags.

Re: Warthog/50.cal chain gun jeep
That design looks less like the scout vehicle unit, but it also needs to be improved. For example, the window on front looks pretty bad - it's too small and at a wrong angle. Rn the other design looks better.
The flag option may actually be better than the emblem. Maybe you could instead of all that make a part of the vehicle team colour tho.
