German Seaplane is OP

Post by Harchie Hirondo »

The German Seaplane is to be scared because of its high HP and its counterattack. I suggest reducing its attack power(therefore just by attacking the plane, the attacking plane won't die), and having a lower HP but not lower than the US seaplane(~100maxHP). Another thing, the AI sometimes spams German seaplanes which is kinda irritating.

which?

otherwise i don't think it's too strong. it only has power for ships and buildings, a few missiles and it's destroyed. so if you don't have the upgrade for the air-to-air missile yet...

Okay, but Puss's idea of removing seaplanes and bombers from producing in TCs might help, cuz AI spams it sometimes...

we can not remove them from TC-s because of AI (at least not all of them)
if we would remove AI will not ever train bombers if it has no airport
and bombers are essential thing - same tru for all type of units - needs to be some in TC (eg. tanks, anti tank tanks)

but especially the seaplane can go to airport if AI still have somehitng flying that is good against ships (and also set in "bestagainsme" agaisnt ships)

So, what if bombers will retain its capability of being produced in TCs, but can the seaplanes be only produced in shipyards? To at least help the spam...
And irl, it's kinda impossible for seaplanes to land on ground
But still, can its attack power be reduced? Since it's weird for a seaplane easily destroying other planes while it's defending itself

Actually AI will prioritize Airports and then spam bombers. Like Stuka, Me264 and Ju88.

yes, but there are cases it can not build it (no space beside TC-s. ot other bulding is started to build - eg concrete fixed guns because of enemy adjacency.

so we can not count on it.

the german seaplane does not destroy airplanes at the attack. only in defense. so attack it only with air-to-air missiles and you have no problem, in addition to the normal air defense, two shots and it should be deadthen with the cities. so in the german empire there were many factories in big cities with rivers these rivers, rhine, elbe havel, trave are so big that such airplanes could land there
