Biologically derived tech

Let's assume this type of tech can be stolen from reptilians and insectiods and adapted for human use.

I've explained it before, but I'd prefer to keep biological modification stuff out of humans. Simply for the sake of them having a unique flavour from reptilians, insectoids, later myconids as well. Human techs revolve around improving their mechanical technology and creating new gadgets instead.
