[SUGGESTION] Space combat: city capturing are done by specific vessels

What if only troop carriers and colony ships can capture TCs (planets) in space combat.
You can help by expanding it

I did have a similar conception.

Actually, I wanted the troop carriers to actually carry landing armies, allowing planetary combat to exist in space maps. How about that?

If it's possible I think it's a good idea. I have a question though. Can we have ship boarding or no? If not, what do you say about a tech that could be invented that gives you a 40% chance to capture an adjacent enemy ship?

Hm.
I'm not sure if I'm on board the boarding idea.
I mean, how do you get inside the ship? You would need to break thru it's energy shields and armor first, no? How can an boarding ship do that?

Also don't worry about it being possible, I will make it work somehow.

There are two ways that you can board an enemy ship. The first is to send out special vehicles that go in the escape pod bays. Usually this is done when the enemy ship is heavily damaged. The second way is to just get really close the the enemy ship, ether by using a tractor beam or by taking out it's engine. Then, you can just link up with the ship and take it over. Boarding a ship doesn't always work because most ships have soldiers stationed inside, or the captain can just self destruct the ship to save it. But if you are losing, a free enemy ship might help you. You might also get a tech that's in the enemy ship.

I guess that works. Nothing against specific boarding ships capturing other ships. How exactly will it work - I need to have an clearer image on the way the space combat will work to answer that question.
