May I proudly present, THE ATLANIANS!
Atlanian is an aquatic race.... Well let's say an ‘amphibous’ aquatic race, that are most adapted to oceanic, or wet environments.
Basically you'll find them exhibiting properties of many aquatic organisms such as fishes and ocean mammalians, just they can live on both land and the seas.
They are organised in monarchy..... And quite a medieval ones, except that they are not heavily tied to any religion.

Military: Planetary
  • Amphibious Warriors
    They are experts of naval or amphibious warfare. The oceans are never (or seldom) a problem to them, which they can easily establish naval superiority and even lead an very early amphibious assault.
  • Endurance
    What makes them endure in a long warfare are their frontline support units and powers. Some of their units like Paladin can heal their battle brothers. Their units heals/mends units faster than others, but of course - their buildings are more expensive to nullify their higher mending stats.
  • Sophistication
    Their main battle elements are more specialised than others that are highly focused on a single role. Such as Trident Tanks are effective tank destroyers while Nautilus Tanks are line tanks fitting the role for defense or holding the frontline.
Military - Space
  • Specialist Space Fleet Doctrine
    Their space battle fleets are as specialised as their planetary forces which each vessel are specially designed for their roles, for example, Kraken are designed for pinning down enemy ships with tractor beams, Ocra is a torpedo destroyer specialised for destroying larger enemy vessels.
  • Support Fleet
    Their support fleets makes sure the battle fleets fights at maximum efficiency by providing buff aura or get hands on assisting damage control of friendly vessels.

I guess I said I dont mind repeting this again
We have 5 factions in progress and one more planned, so I don't want to add more whole races. However, I would like to see some neutral-natives-subraces later, and this would fit that just fine. Basically, they would be primitive factions that other races can get access to thru techs. Their units wouldnt be very strong, but they would be highly apapted to some particular enviroment. So an water focused faction would be great. Tho they are meant to be primitive, so spaceships are a no go I think. Im not sure which races would this faction could be aviable for. Idea of those subraces colonial troops, maybe thats a more fitting name, is definetly for much later and Im yet to work out its specifics.

You mean other races will be sub-factions (minor factions, not same as main faction)? That's a very cool setting! 👍

Basically yea. I imagine that the big races, capable of space travel and all would be able to assimilate less advanced factions they encounter and use them for battle. Different races would have different means of doing so - humans would use diplomacy, reptilans - slavery etc.
