Mother Nature - OUTDATED

Post by Tankhead »

All elven units heal a certain amount in the forest passively. I say about 15%

That was my original thought but i thought maybe that was to low. But seeing that it heals all in the forest, 10% sounds good.

Elf already have auto healing ability.
And casters for it.
So I don't see any reason to add this new one.

Well if that's the case what about i replace the healing with toughened? Or haste( more movement speed) it just weird elves don't have a boost in forest when that's they're domain

not elves but ents can gain this as passive healing in forests.i think 10 hp for ent and ent warrior and 4 hp for ent demolisher per turn.
but it must be researchable and costly.

That could be a terrain efffect- can enable in map setting along with others.
Such terrain effects are up for discussion. In general improvements. Can vote for wich one to work.
They need also further coding.

1)elven speed is good now since they have far the greatest range from races.
Adding more speed (even only in forest) would unbalanc it, way to op.

2)like I said forest(general all terrain) may have different effects to all races.
Best way if player can choose if enable or disable them.
3)for ents we have one" reinforce"tech I think

Reinforce is one thing - this is other
I still disagree with "just terrain effect that affects all elves and doesn't need to be researched" thing. if affects certain units maybe (like ents or centaurs) but not whole race.

I support ents getting passive healing being in forest, perhaps some other forest related thing.

Can we currently have terrain related bonuses?

I would change the approach. I think that most of the units (especially cavalry) should be slowed in forest tiles and elves might be the exception to this
