I think he is more like dwarven necromancer who operates with corpses of the dead, summons undead for help and buffs them. Also NO spells that affect non-spirit units at all.

As for look - yes shaman-like will fit nice, with staff. Similar to the Troll shaman.

Honestly I don't like the idea. Dwarves are known for many things like runesmith, machines etc. But spiritual connections are just too much and sounds like an unit made to fit humans, undead or elves. It doesn't fit the fantasy setting very well.

They are known also for their connection to their ancetors and this is the one who provides this connection.
Humans/elves don't have such deep connection with their ancetors and undeads have raise dead already.

Dwarves do, but they don't use "spirit guides". Instead they build mighty statues to commemorate them, and carve drawings about them in walls. And personally, i have never seen a dwarf with this description.

Yah agree with Loa
Anyway that makes dwarfes even s more powerful on a territory what is not even their.
Not fair to humans and undeads.

Also how is that dwarves get ghost units(implemented in game) faster than undeads!?

1. they are not ghosts. they are spirits. that is big difference. spirits never have any dodge.
2. this is not that powerful because it has MELEE range.
3. for humans i have in plans for more powerful elementalist who can summon permanent elementals from corpses. for elves - treants from corpses. but both units will be costly as this one (mega building only, high cost) while undeads have earlier and more ways of interacting with corpses.
4. to @LordOfAles - i have seen them. in MTG.

It's not about stats and abilities it's about how much does it actually fit in dwarves in general. So no.

1)but is summon from dead
(if every race could profit from corpses is good idea and slightly game changing (already mentioned for ork humans ) but a problem for undeads
2)not that's the problem

3)until that more work needing (aelemental tipe attack - and terrain effects)

4)That doesn't mean we need to copy everything dwarf related from different games in our own.
What may not fit to this" UNIVERS "
Change drastically power balance,
If make them the best builders don't make them spiritist too.
They need weaknesses too (don't say short range and slow speed(foot) because other techs and specialities make it almost not counting.)
(Getting tanks golems, elementals, flying vehicle,
Rune, counter attack wall! Poison, etc)

So slower with such ideas, until more content is added to others.
