Basilisk
Finished version with final stats and image.
Not THAT good at fighting, but has a very special and useful skill: the "petrifying gaze". Usable every 5 turns, it targets an enemy that is in the same line or column than the basilisk (that is, an enemy that is in a + area centered on the basilisk), ignoring distance, and the target is petrified. Petrified targets are unable to act, but also dont take any damage. They can be cured with any sort of healing (regeneration included). (I hope it's not too much work to code ) It also has poison attack. If the petrifying gaze is too complicate, make it have a Curse spell instead. Stats:
Cost: 3 (ground) (can use petrifying gaze. Has poison attack. Gem upgrade unit.)
Hp 20
Atk 9
Arm/p.arm 1/2
Speed 3
Sight 5
Description: This deadly reptile can petrify enemies with a cursed gaze, and also have a lethal poison. However, it is not very resistent or fast, so use it cautiously.

Re: Basilisk
Not just the attack defines an units fighting ability. Do you think its strong for a cost 3 unit? These stats would suit a cost 2 basic unit. I just raised to 3 because of poison and petrifying gaze.

Re: Basilisk
Being a gaze it would be nice if the unit can actually see it, so it should be the first one in range (maybe it is complex) but not at infinite distance. 10 should be more than enough. The healing should be easy to script.

Re: Basilisk
You mean that any unit in a 10+ range centered on the basilisk can be petrified? (Remember that this effect only petrifies one unit, or else its gonna be a liytle op.)

Re: Basilisk
no, i meant that the first unit in line of sight (the closest to the basilisk) should be petrified

That seems a bit too complicated, but also makes more sense.

Re: Basilisk
it shouldn't be too complicated since you suggested a cross range

Re: Basilisk
So the closest unit in a cross range of 10 will be petrified?

Re: Basilisk
on the card, the card said basilisk is summonable unit, so i wish we will make cobold shaman able to summon basilisk but its getting vanishing (4 turns) but this one is a costly unit & permanent but upgrade gem unit so needs gem to unlock the unit.
agree?

Re: Basilisk
However, i did not like this. I dont think we should make it summon unit, just gem unit. Not sure which building will make it tho.MightyGuy wrote:on the card, the card said basilisk is summonable unit, so i wish we will make cobold shaman able to summon basilisk but its getting vanishing (4 turns) but this one is a costly unit & permanent but upgrade gem unit so needs gem to unlock the unit.

Re: Basilisk
Ok, heres my idea for petrifying gaze:
Cooldown 4. The basilisk chooses a direction (up, down, left, right) and the closest unit in that direction has 100% chance of getting petrified. Chance can be reduced by mag. res.
What do u think

Re: Basilisk
Edit: obviously, the basilisk must be seeing the unit that will be petrified. If theres no visible unit in that direction, the gaze will fail. Petrified units' sprites turn gray, and they will be unable to act and will take no damage. Lasts forever, but Can be removed with simple healing spells.Skelegonsans wrote:Ok, heres my idea for petrifying gaze:
