As a subrace for elves it can be but not still a good idea as for me. Better add some high elves/night elves/sun elves/some other variant of elves (as for me at least)
As full race it can't get much content because 1. it will substract content from elves. 2. even still it doesn't have much in games i have content.

What these plants should be? Walking trees? We have Ents for elves and they DEFINATELY must be a part of elves only. Dangerous flowers? Sure, why not but stats must be worse than human's worker for their basic units.
Also WHOLE RACE must be weak to fire. I don't think this is a good idea for a whole race.

When I say a subrace I mean that we can use some concepts for specific units (for example a carnivorous plant might become an elven defensive tower).

Yes I meant so,
some mitical units what may fit too.


If addig other tipe of elfs than will see what structures can bring with them. (some offensive would be good)

Like high elf have a separate worker what can Built non plant based structures.
Also may moon and sun magic related structures for addition of the corresponding elf subrace.

A carnivorous plant-tower sounds good.
