Dwarves, instead of horses maybe they could ride mammoths to suite their theme more. Dwarves could have something like a thane that has a lightning strike ranged ability?

An idea for a race characteristic. Mounted units have lower bonus against dwarves units, since they are short.

For the most part... Dwarves reamain on foot. They are the most stalwart warriors of the realms

Limit cav to slow but tough,
Mages should be focused on Earth magic, defense spells, and maybe 1 offense spell focused on Building destruction!
Warriors abound, slow and armored, their upgrades via armor should out match any other race!

i only remember dwarves with griffins in warcraft 2 but with magic wands shooting lightining like atacks

In wc2 there were also demolition squad (suiciders who deals lots of damage to all units near it), helicopters (there seats dwarf), submarines (dwarven invention for kul tiras) apart from griffins.
