Bard — ARCHIVED

Post by GammaGhost »

Not sure if it has already been talked about or not, but the Bard could generally work as a support unit giving allies boosts, or even an upgrade that allows certain wildlife to be tamed.

You need to be more specific and you must post in the right section of the board (i assume that the unit is for human or elves)

The Bard could raise attack power of other units, or have a short ranged ability that causes fear through the use of its other ability.(The idea behind the second one is if they play a "demoralizing tune". The chance could be 25%
Also, I was thinking that it could be the elven Bard that loses the ranged ability, but gains the ability to tame certain wildlife, such as eagles, hounds, and some of the neutral wildlife, such as bears. The chance would be 30%.

Those abilities might work like some sort of interchangeable auras. They can switch between attack aura and fear aura. If they have an active aura they cannot attack (since they've got their hands occupied playing). The aura effects might start at 1 and increase the effect after the following turns (1, 2, 3 attack bonus and - 1, - 2, - 3 attack).
