Re: Monster skeletons
C'mon guys no one gets me? XD
I meant a GIANT NORMAL LOOKING SKULL that laughs as a way to buff his allies
Not some Joker esque undead

Re: Monster skeletons
I understand the part of a giant skeleton, but not the laughing part... Why that would buff his allies?
Btw the giant part i think it does not apply to this situation. These aren't meant to be giants, but just regular sized abominations...
Undead giants is something for mummies sub, there we would have a lot of big boys to choose, but not sure when they will be worked on. And aside these, we have zombies, demons and vampires to work on already...

Re: Monster skeletons
0.0 are we gonna have like armed and armored zombies now? I could come up with some images if you could send me an image to edit
PS:ok change the lauging part into debuff enemies
Because you'd get scared too if a giant laughing skull laughs maniacly near you

Where should I post the giant head instead? Also I'm asking if these new zombies would be armed

Re: Monster skeletons
Obviously, make a new post for it... Before that, read the unit suggestion rules...
Mummies are not zombies... And nope. There will be no armed zombies, zombies are pretty much infectors here...

Re: Monster skeletons
Here I posted what is needed for every unit (most of them need to be remade or reworked)
Alexander82 wrote: ↑Fri May 22, 2020 10:10 pmThat is mostly fineDoomsdayDragonfire wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 9:23 pm Right, here some attempts that i made, Alex will post here what exactly they should be looking alike. And what else that still own no reference img.

In that case I don't like much the blades shape. I think that you can give it arms while the blades will be in place of forearms
Maybe crossbow arm could be more visible, also I'd like it 4 legged (so it looks more monster-like)DoomsdayDragonfire wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 9:23 pm Archer (bow should be made on its arm, perhaps another head)
maybe that one could have a single big armblade (the unit could have trample I suppose)
For maceman I'd like it a unit that is like a small ankylosaurus centaur. While the body should be smaller than a dinosaur, the mace on its tail should be bigger than the one of the dinosaur. The upper body could use some monstruous details as well (surprise me)
I like that approach already, maybe just make the image overall clearer
That could be fine, maybe just remove wings and maybe try to make it look more like a hydra (four legged and maybe even more heads and long necks)DoomsdayDragonfire wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 9:23 pm Monster dragon (it should be hidra alike or smt)
Here I wanted to use the upper head of the monster giving it claws with a lower fish-like partDoomsdayDragonfire wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 9:23 pm Also i made 3 variations for pirate, tho none seens to be fitting:
This is a monster of abyssal deepths.
This is a crawling fishman.
This is a siren, tho it wasn't meant to be a monster.
About other units:
for thrower I wanted to make a skirmisher that throws bone javellins (he should also have monstruous features, so that it stand out compared to normal skeletons)
For spearman corpse we could have a halberdier-like unit (again a biiiig arm made out of a spine and a halberdlike tip for it. If you have other ideas you can try
For mounted spearman we might have a centaur-like unit with 2 spear arms similar to these
but with spears in place of drills
they can still be made out of 2 spines
one ou our centaur-like unit could be 2-legged (I remember there was something like a horse chicken somewhere xD )

Re: Monster skeletons
also, since sacrifices required will increase, to make them easyer to manage it will use skeletons instead of corpses (this way you can reanimate and move them where needed)

Re: Monster skeletons
Btw, what if we were to make something similar for zombies, but without weapons and such but rather just stronger zombies being reanimated from corpses from the cemetery reaper?
For example, abominationions, and revenants? 1 of each that is.

Re: Monster skeletons
Actually just an abomination and aberrant zombie, revenants could become a sub:
But anyway, any requests on what the shielder should look like other then having a bone shield?

Re: Monster skeletons
the mage looks more like a melee unit though, what about some snakeman-like skeleton with other monstruous features (and obviously it should show it is a caster)
about the lancer its lances seems a bit curved

Re: Monster skeletons
That was intentional, they are spines for poles after all so they aren't going to be straight.

These Undeads starting to look more from another Realm rather than just dead beings comeback from the dead

interesting... it seems like a shielder/gunner, isn't it? I don't like the fact it has the same shield of the skirmisher one
Approved
for some reasons I mistaken that bone javelin with a trekking pole. Maybe it was the position... also I do't like the fact it has the same shield of the shielder. Maybe a versione that throws 2 javellins at once and almost without ribs (cause he throws it) so it is harder to aim at it in ranged?
I liked more the previous upper part, but in general I wanted a slimmer silhouette, also maybe it is me but the lower part seems too much like the fishman
just to make sure, is he walking on his fins? I think this is mostly fine
Could you try making the armsword bigger?
Can you show me also a version with straight spines?
this looks a bit confusing, maybe you could make the humanoid part of the unit smaller to outline more the tail
I like that, I would only add something on the humanoid head, what do you think?
here we are pretty far as I wanted a unit with 4 legs and no wings xD

Re: Monster skeletons
yes for most of them, anyway we will scale their power on the same level of golden skeletons (but fitting the specific roles they have)
