Elf(?) - Shapeshifter - ANSWERED
A unit that changes its form on the beginning of every turn.
So on firt turn he is an archer, next turn he is an Ent, next turn he is a wolf - and so on.

Re: Elf(?) - Shapeshifter
It's to random for me, but maybe we should start a vote?
What color is your flag when it's burning?!

Re: Elf(?) - Shapeshifter
It sounds really cool, but will the change be random or a preset cycle?
It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people wonder if you're a fool than to open it and remove all doubt...

Re: Elf(?) - Shapeshifter
That's cool, but if it were a preset cycle, it could add an element of strategy...otherwise it would be a crapshoot...i'd be really upset if i spent 30 turns training a platoon of shapeshifters, then sent them to attack an orc stronghold, only to have them suddenly turn into bunnies and be eaten by the orcs for dinner...

Re: Elf(?) - Shapeshifter
The shapeshifter idea might be more like a feral druid unit (it's a common kind of druid from D&D and WoW).
A shapeshifter might have more forms:
Elven form: he is an archer with a ranged attack, or maybe just like an assassin, he can't be seen by normal units, he should have an healing skill.
Bird: flying and fast, low hp and no attack
Panther or Cheeta form: Very fast and with low attack
Lion or Tiger: more balanced version, normal speed and higher attack
Wolf: slower than a cheeta and weaker than a lion but gain a +1 bonus to attack and armors for any other wolf in a certain range (like 4 or something), because they fight in packs
Bear: Pretty slow but very strong and with high hp
A shapeshifter has an active skill to choose its form.
To change to another form the shapeshifter has to revert back to elven form (basically, when you want to change form you loose two turns)
When you change back in elven form you keep your damage (to prevent abuse). If the damage exceed the elven form hp you remain with 1hp.
To transform again you need at least half your hp full and the new animal form will be at full healt.

Yes to all but he should heal 1/4 his health it's what druids do man heal as they shapeshift!.
I think the werewolf would be good a separate unit in the mansion for the undead. Werewolf can be swords man slow but strong, wolf quick but weak or hybrid faster and stronger but on a cool down aka can only werewolf for 2 rounds then had 4-5 round in all forms he should have strong armor because it's hard to hurt a werewolf. Of course he would need his own thread.
