I don't really have a solution to this but it's definitely a big issue and such have to be spoken out so I did just that

are you aware of the multiselect and waypoint option?

Re: Too much iteration in this game
Sure, but this doesn't really solve the problem completely. Say you want to transport an army over a sea using a ship. You have to do the same repetative action for every single soldier

Re: Too much iteration in this game
Yes, on huge maps with massive armies the moving units can get VERY aggravating.
Which, like Daniel said, is mostly fixed by setting waypoints/selecting huge groups of units.

any suggestions for that?

Re: Too much iteration in this game
Well, here is the simple suggestion: Use wagons/smaller maps.

Re: Too much iteration in this game
I can think of one way that would reduce the number of times you would need to tap, especially in larger games. Remove the need to tap a second time to confirm your movement, and then implement an 'undo last action' button. That way if I'm moving 20 guys I would only have to tap 40 times instead of 60 (assuming I'm not using the waypoint command). I think the undo button would be necessary with this change, though, just in case you tapped on the wrong location while a unit is selected.

Re: Too much iteration in this game
Hmmm... I dont know how I feel about an undo button, that feels like cheating to me.
However, I agree there should be an option to tap once to move, especially for those with larger screens who alnost never misclick the wrong spot.

This is actually quite a good idea imo.
Also agree with DC about the undo button, but I can see the logic for having it. Having an option would be great..at least that way you can only blame your self/phone/tablet lol

Also sometimes you misclick and place that unit in the wrong place and feels like

Re: Too much iteration in this game
The waypoint might be good to move units in a certain part of the map in big maps, especially on single player but it's not a viable option when you are playing an online game, were planning is pretty important. so you risk to obtain units filling your factories and stopping production or just moving forward the units you need less.
It might also work setting that units don't enter factories or tcs if there is only a slot left and if you can set a moving priority (like cavalry moves before infantry and so on).

Re: Too much iteration in this game
Maybe undo button should stay,BUT as DoomCarrot said, its like cheating. So here's a solution:If your soldier attacks, occupies tc, reveal fog of war,or if your worker conducted a build action, then the undo button would be disabled.(so undo can be used only when you move your unit, as long as it doesn't reveal anything)And undo can be used ONLY for the last unit you played with !
I am, indeed, a big Witch King and Middle Earth fan if you didn't notice.

Re: Too much iteration in this game ANSWERED
The confirm click before move thing:
sadly there is a new use of the little dots and confirming on ranged units: before move now you can change the "range" change of units by movement, the insta-move approach would kill this new feature.
i am open to suggestions how to remove the comfirm click, considering these important things
1. the range-change indication feature
2. the undo button will be a cheating thing (eg. you can "explore on fog map" and undo that)
thanks!

I actually appreciate confirm click. It's too easy to accidentally move something with a finger smudge on your screen without it. It should at least remain optional.
The glorious sun rises again
Re: Too much iteration in this game ANSWERED
I agree - maybe the only solution is to make smarter maps? smaller maps that have fewer units on it?
Thanks!
