Alternative unit armor
Allows you to choose the kind of armor your unit would wear I've made one so far could you add it as a choice for players to choose how there unit's look @Endru1241

I understand that they are quite good right now but I think players should have more control over how their unit's look. We could have it so when in map editor and you press on one of these unit's it shows all available skins for that unit so players have more variety. I still think that this is a good idea.

1. Skin should not be changeable (normal human skin; this is historical based game, not fantasy/unreality)
2. Weapons and armor can't be changed too drastically in colors as well. We in reality have no red/blue/purple/green/any other color metals. Some other tint of 50 grades of gray-white-black.
3. I suggest different changes if this will be a thing:
Different shield shape;
Different helmet;
Different shield ornament;
Different ornament.

Something close to second variant but no changes in color scheme when compare to existing one.

Close enough to what i am looking for.
What am i looking for ar e not so big changes:
For example instead of triangle shield shape round shield shape or square shield shape:
Helmet can have different variants of horns, different visor, different form by itsef (if need examples i can find for you them);
Shields also can have different team colored ornaments instead of lines ans such. Dragon/Griffin/Snake/Flower/any random geometric figures (circles, squares, lines, etc...);
Same with tunic (ofc if unit has tunic and shield that ornaments on both of them should be same).
Alas i must say that it will be better for AoS where we have same base units over and over. For AoF we have at least 6 packs of basic units and also i like that each pack of basic units is made in same theme.

You know, you'll either have to pick Alternative Unit Armor or Damage Mode because working on both is straight ridicolousness. That would mean that for every unit implemented there would be 1 or 2 extra images needed. And doing these things on animated units is even more painful.
I am, indeed, a big Witch King and Middle Earth fan if you didn't notice.

@StormSaint373 my notice behind these alternative skins is to give players more variety when using units as they will be able to actually make that unit look different or say someone needs a unit for a specific map but don't like how it looks they can change its appearance to one of these alternative skins and I would appreciate it if you would back up my idea

Why not just give players the tools to change ingame textures for themselves that are only visible to themselves like in various other popular games? I think built-in skins would be cumbersome on data.

I'm thinking a group of skins with alternate armor weapons and ornamental designs but keeping their base stats the same maybe a new shield or an axe instead of a sword or a different mount change the unit slightly without using drastic measures did I explain well enough if not @makazuwr32 could probably explain it much better

One of the already implemented ways is modding, but you need permission for that.
