Elves need more to their basic race that isn't either hard to code or mythical creature. Something simple and basic should be added.

Actually here i agree with both patrol and loa.
Elves don't need shielder at base.
I would rather prefer to expand their arsenal of agile units like blade dancer and quick archer.

Trully incredible, but as I have said many times before, AoF is beyond redemtion. It takes way too long to load, you need hundreds of gems to unlock everything, orcs are still op af, scaledfolks are still op af, humans now have everything possible, my previous statement was there to just confirm it. Like who in their right mind would suggest an elven shielder?

Maybe some unit that has increased dodges instead of shield would fit better for elves.
As for other things:
-Orcs are not so op now, they are beatable because their giants are locked in early game and their minotaurs are not so op now.
-Humans have everything because they are humans. They are mix of most races and aslo best cavalry.
-Scaledfolks are in work on planning stage of complete wipe and redone of the race. You can by the way take part in it: 1. I have no ideas for them 2. I have no stats for them because i have no ideas. I probably will comment few things but mainly alex will be the one who will answer about them.
There is a post by alex about scaledfolk rework.
As for other things:

Hm, I guess your correct.

Maybe I should think more along the lines of ranged units.
As for melee I could think up a thrower unit instead. But I'll have to see what I can get away with for elves, but my original thought still stands as the fact that most suggested elven units require a coding of a new ability or spell of they are just a mythical creature.
I did a count on each races units, disregarding sub races and upgrades, and found elves to be coming up short by alot.
What I don't get is why the second race to be implemented into the game just so happens to have the least units then the last 2 races been added.
The answer? Elves were suggested many units requiring new coding, certain unit types aren't available to them due to overlap between other races units. Their ranged units are pretty well covered since they have 1 for each situation and the ones they don't have they can't get because they lack either the technology, primitivity, or style to be given it (E.g. Crossbowmen, riflemen, blowdart)
So this kinda forces us to get creative I guess so I will look amongst the elves topics and see what could be simplified.

Elves already will get a bit later new thrower unit - skirmisher. We are discussing his stats for now.

Also dryad will be changed into poison archer with 3 turn cost.
And i asked about making for elves some sort of better dodgeable unit as alternative to shielder for them - alex said no.
