Towers/Fortresses IMPLEMETED

Is there any reason the towers and fortresses don't benefit from the archery upgrade? If there is, I think there should be an upgrade for defensive structures to increase their attack power.

Hmm, good point, aren't archers/crossbowmen/fire archers technically the ones shooting from the towers? :)

Although I think to prevent confusion there should be a seperate upgrade.... Perhaps Crossbow patrol... No that sounds stupid :lol:

Yeah, I've recently started playing age of Empires again and quickly realized how much I use defensive structures in that game (and this one) and is one of the first upgrades I do when moving up in ages.

This game DEFINITELY needs something similar to upgrade towers/fortresses/castles to hit a bit harder.

Maybe we could call it "Double the watch" or "Elite guards" or something of that nature and gives defensive buildings the same style of upgrade archers get from the blacksmith.

Thoughts?

good, please make an image for the tech(s) and we can put it in.


i suggest 2 techs (levels) as archery in blacksmith: each tech gives +1 range and maybe some extra power.

but think of the castles too, will they also benefint from thesE?

Sorry, not sure what sort of parameters you wanted for the art but I drew this up.

Yes, I think castles should definitely be included.

Yeah, drawn from scratch. :D

I don't mind them, but the other upgrade images are clearly higher resolution/better quality than these.

I don't mind drawing them again at a better quality, I just need to know the canvas size.

Effect- Towers/fortress/castle +1 range

Second upgrade:
Name- Garrisoned Keep/Elite Garrison
Effect- Towers/Fortresses/Castles get +1 attack

Feel free to improve on art or ideas. This is as good as I could do.

Well just a bit to give it depth - you can see the newer images to see what I mean like the roman garrison or the newer towers.

Yes problem is walls have u_fortified building category so I can't use shortcut, and all towers don't have complete json yet so I have to both make json and make them effected by new techs

shortcut means all units with same category will b affected so i wont need to write name of tech in every unit :) but it does not matter since it is almost done
