Stationary artilary — ARCHIVED

Stationary artillery units, what dwarves artisans alone can create for they are powerful area damage structures that are wisely built behind walls to keep away hordes of enemies

I don't have stats for this but all it would be used for is defence, only able to attack every other turn, but able to unleash explosive fury, damaging multiple enemies at once

Can be only built around your 10 tiles of Any nearest TC.It should move or attack.Means if it moves it won't attack.If it attacks it won't move.
How was that idea?

It should be three move away from the town halls, making sure they don't have crazy range. Should take like seven turns to be built, damages; 20, Health Maybe 20 or 30. Good against singular Target, devastat infantry, flying but not Caverly. Ranges; 6 or 7 or 8. I don't know, the idea of this thing seems rather powerful.

Woah i didnt know anyone replied to this suggestion and yeah, all the ideas you guys proposed are great, although id still like it to be a stationary defence made behind walls

Would this be like a longer ranged dwarven morter that is stationary? Like a one shot, structurally weaker, longer ranged area damage version of the dwarf guard tower? That would be intresting...

Funny how dwarves defenses are as hard as orcs to make. Both have a pretty decent defense that is strong enough to cover the orcs or dwarves base without problem. I think to solve dwarves defense problem we take aoe away from the cannon tower and leave it to this one, other one can have 2 actions and shoot normal cannon balls. Orcs one does still have its faults which is why it lead to the creation of their others.


Say, can Dwarves see invisible?

For now they don't have any ways to see invisible units.

As for power range their current tower doesn't have it.

i am thinking about just big mortar on top of their regular tower.

Needs to be bigger, like a gaurd tower size.
Max size length wise is 64. Width remains 32 unless making mini mega (64) or mega (96)

You don't need the cannon balls though.
Other then that concept looks good but with bigger size you have more to work with.

Those stats need correcting
I ask someone make corrections to those stats so I can place it in with the other tower packs

Attack - 0
Range - 0
Armor - 4/15
Construction rate: +10% (basic dwarven worker will need 14 actions to build it)
Mend rate: +50%
Ability:
Artillery shot: deals 30 melee damage to target and 18 damage to nearby units in range 1. Range - 7, cooldown - 2 turns. Works like fireball, not like magic missle.

It shoots slower but you can choose targets and even make indirect shot with it.
